S2S Black Walnut

Black Walnut is the premium furniture and craft wood fit for any project. This wood is highly desired and utilized in furniture, cutting boards, turned items, carvings and more. 

Janka Hardness: 1,010 lb/f

Workability: mills, sands and finishes beautifully. Figured pieces are prone to tear out if milled at too high of a speed or with dull machinery. 

What can you expect from S2S Lumber?

S2S Lumber (Surfaced two Sides) is sent through our planer, skimmed on two sides to show grain and colour with the edges left rough.  Thickness will be around 3/16” less than nominal thickness due to the planing process.   If rough stock is preferred please leave a comment on checkout.
