S2S Sapele

Sapele is a premium exotic hardwood from Tropical Africa known for its similarity to Mahogany, often earning the name Sapele Mahogany (although not a true mahogany).

Janka Hardness: 1,360 lb/f

Workability: Mills, sands and finishes nicely with little complications.

What can you expect from S2S Lumber?

S2S Lumber (Surfaced two Sides) is sent through our planer, skimmed on two sides to show grain and colour with the edges left rough.  Thickness will be around 3/16” less than nominal thickness due to the planing process.   If rough stock is preferred please leave a comment on checkout.
