Curly Maple S4S Pre-Cut Hobby Pack - 4 Boards - 20" Long

A 4-pack of hand picked boards that have been jointed and planed on all four sides(S4S). Ready for your next project. 

Called curly maple because the ripples in the grain pattern create a three dimensional effect that appears as if the grain has “curled” along the length of the board. It’s also referred to as fiddleback maple, in reference to its historic use for the backs and sides of violins.

It takes finishes and stains well and poses no difficulty in gluing but we recommend sharp edges on your saws or planer to help avoid tear out. 

Curly maple is light in colour but will have slight colour variation. We choose only the best board for our hobby packs and will try to accomodate any special requests as noted on checkout

Hobby boards are milled from 4/4 lumber, finished thickness will vary between 3/4"-1".

Boards are 20" long.
