S2S White Ash

White Ash has excellent shock resistance, and along with Hickory, it is one of the most commonly used hardwoods for tool handles in North America—particularly in shovels and hammers where toughness and impact resistance is important.

Workability: Produces good results with hand or machine tools. Responds well to steam bending. Glues, stains, and finishes well.

What can you expect from S2S Lumber?

S2S Lumber (Surfaced two Sides) is sent through our planer, skimmed on two sides to show grain and colour with the edges left rough.  Thickness will be around 3/16” less than nominal thickness due to the planing process.   If rough stock is preferred please leave a comment on checkout.
